27 checks across 8 categories
The audit is the foundation everything else builds on. Here is every check it runs.
Basic SEO
Missing titles, titles too long or too short, duplicate titles across pages, missing meta descriptions, description length, duplicate descriptions. The fundamentals that drive click-through rate.
Heading structure
Missing H1, multiple H1 tags on one page, and skipped heading levels like H1 jumping straight to H3. Clean structure helps both search engines and screen readers.
URL structure
Overlong URLs, uppercase characters, underscores and encoded characters, and parameter-heavy URLs that create duplicate content variants.
Technical SEO
HTTP errors, broken links, redirect chains, missing canonical tags, accidental noindex flags, and site-level robots.txt and sitemap.xml presence.
Image SEO
Images missing alt text (page by page, with counts) and pages carrying so many images they hurt load time on mobile connections.
Internal linking
Orphan pages no other page links to, and pages with too few internal links to rank. Internal links tell search engines which pages matter.
Content quality
Thin pages under 300 words and near-identical duplicate content across pages, detected by comparing normalized body text.
Performance
Pages that take more than 3 seconds to download and HTML documents over 1.5 MB. Speed is a ranking factor and a conversion factor.
A score you can explain to anyone
No mystery algorithms. Every page starts at 100 and each issue subtracts a fixed penalty based on severity. A missing title costs 15 points. A broken link costs 12. Your site score is the average across all crawled pages.
Critical issues
Missing titles, missing metas, no H1, HTTP errors, broken links. These cost the most points and top your fix list.
Medium issues
Duplicates, redirect chains, orphan pages, thin content, slow pages. Worth fixing in your next work session.
Low issues
Length tweaks, URL polish, missing canonicals. Small wins that add up across a whole site.
